Jennifer helped us re-design our kitchen, which is the center of life in our house. My husband and I have the kind of residential property that has remodeling projects to last a lifetime. Jennifer has helped us prioritize these and has helped developed each piece to various degrees. Her design sense is superb. She can really take what’s there and improve layout and function. She has strong construction knowledge, too. It seems to help her understand existing conditions and to design with some thought towards what it’s going to take (complexity and money) to bring ideas to fruition. We think we have the best kitchen in Santa Rosa, and I’m tempted to feel badly in the saying of that given that we live in a part of the state where wine and cooking and “slower food†are a central part of life! That is, many in our area have the means to build larger and more elaborate kitchens and “connected living space†– but Jennifer was able to do it for us and within our budget. We had an idea of opening up the kitchen to the living room and linking to the outside, but couldn’t imagine how it could work. With Jennifer’s amazing design talent, we were well-guided, as she dreamed up several wonderful design solutions to choose from – and that makes us happy every morning we wake up to make coffee or come home from work. The colors, light, views to the outside, and best of all, an amazing flow of space have turned what was a dark, cramped room into the center of our home life. Our new master suite is a delight to sleep in, and is rustically but beautifully connected by a rear deck and trellis, making a great shady place in our backyard to hang out. We liked working with Jennifer so much that we hired her to help us with our next project.
