A new 4-unit mixed-use building in Fairfield fits an urban site plan on an awkward lot
[With Thomas Dolan Architecture] Winner of a Design Award for Site Planning/Land Use from the City of Fairfield, this project preserved the urban fabric by locating the building close to the street and tucking the parking behind. The site plan also adeptly accommodated the different uses, with a commercial space featured at the front of the building and a small, quiet courtyard around back – with the entrances to three apartments.
